Location
Chalet Les Pelerins is a genuine and pleasant 15 minute walk from Place Balmat (the very centre of Chamonix). The chalet is set back from Rte des Pelerins, and is definitely in a quiet, tranquil part of the town.
Within 800 metres you have the “Chamonix Sud” bus stop, from where the resort buses serve all the ski areas. The nearest bar (800 metres) is the “Jeckyll” www.thejeckyll.com – always a good après ski venue. The nearest restaurant is the excellent “l’Impossible” www.restaurant-impossible.com is next door to the Jeckyll.
The main bakery of Chamonix “Fournil Chamoniard” is just 3 mins walk away. It opens from 0600 in the morning to get your baguettes & croissants – be warned though the cake selection is highly addictive!
