Guest Testimonials

  • Staff / owners, breakfast, Chamonix were great. I went with my son (16) and we walked into town each night to eat out. It was brilliant for bed and breakfast and has bus stops right outside for access to all ski areas.

  • Exactly what I was looking for: a comfortable and relaxing place, made so by both the scenery/location, the personal attention/support provided to your stay and vacation intentions, and the comfort of the chalet itself. The feel is simply: it's your home too.

  • The food was fantastic, the rooms clean and comfortable. David the chalet owner was very helpful and kindly provided us with rucksacks and harnesses to do the Valle Blanche which was wonderful.

  • I was lucky enough to get to spend three nights at Chalet Les Pelerins on a quick trip to Chamonix while in Europe for work. The place was cozy and had all the basic amenities you'd need, and the breakfasts and dinner I experienced were all great.

  • David and Asa were perfect hosts, very friendly, helpful and good company. David suggested some great hikes in the region and we even managed to get out one afternoon to take Poppy (the dog) for a hike in the hills. They went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent stay.

Location

Chalet Les Pelerins is set back from Route des Pelerins, a quiet, tranquil part of Chamonix with stunning views of both Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi. Despite the peaceful surroundings the Chalet is only a pleasant 15 minute walk from Place Balmat (the very centre of Chamonix).

All five Chamonix ski areas are easily accessible from the chalet using the local Chamonix bus service.  Line 2 which services the route between neighboring village Les Bossons and the furthest ski area, Le Tour, stops opposite the hospital, which is only 50 meters from Chalet Les Pelerins. The Line 2 bus runs every 30 minutes between 06:30am and 8:00pm Monday to Saturday, all year round. During the season the bus runs once an hour on Sundays and bank holidays. Line 2 will take you to the ski areas in Les Praz/Flegere, Argentière and Le Tour.

To get to Brevent ski area you will have to take Line 14 from Chamonix Sud.

In order to encourage people to take the bus and make your trips in the valley easier, the use of Chamonix Bus is completely free (except Chamo'Nuit and special buses).

The nearest bar (800 meters) is the “Jeckyll” – always a nice atmosphere, great selections of beers and good food. The nearest restaurant is the excellent “l’Impossible” and is next door to the Jeckyll.

The main bakery of Chamonix “Fournil Chamoniard” is just 3 mins walk away. It opens from 6:00am so you can get your baguettes & croissants – be warned though, the cake selection is highly addictive!
