Guest Testimonials

  • The chalet is spotless and spacious with generous views of the Alps. David proved to be an excellent host and will go out all the way to make sure you are at home. Highly recommended place to stay in Chamonix.

  • The catering at Chalet Les Pelerins was first class and it was no problem for David and Asa to meet the requirements of those with slightly different diets. The Chalet has an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the town centre and with fantastic views across the alps.

  • The chalet is clean, comfortable and well maintained with a roaring log fire in the lounge/dining room. Tasty, home cooked meals are served with tea and cake available in the late afternoon. Even the most voracious skier is left sated.

  • The food was fantastic, the rooms clean and comfortable. David the chalet owner was very helpful and kindly provided us with rucksacks and harnesses to do the Valle Blanche which was wonderful.

  • Staff / owners, breakfast, Chamonix were great. I went with my son (16) and we walked into town each night to eat out. It was brilliant for bed and breakfast and has bus stops right outside for access to all ski areas.

  • This cozy and friendly chalet is a real home away from home. The hosts are very knowledgeable and helpful giving loads of suggestions and inspiration what to see and what to do.

  • David and Asa were perfect hosts, very friendly, helpful and good company. David suggested some great hikes in the region and we even managed to get out one afternoon to take Poppy (the dog) for a hike in the hills. They went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent stay.

  • We had a great 4 night stay at Chalet Les Pelerins. We were a group of 10, sharing twin/double rooms...and it really exceeded our expectations. The hot tub outside which was perfect for post skiing beers and recovery. David and team were very helpful in arranging our lift passes, ski rental and gett...

Special weeks created by the team that run Action Outdoors (UCPA UK). We are aiming at two groups of two levels per week to allow a small group of Off-Piste skiers to enjoy the very best skiing around the Chamonix Valley in addition to improve your skills and technique in various terrain and snow conditions.

The key to a successful week is flexibility
We have maximum of 6 clients guide/instructor ratio with our own transport to take you around France, Italy and Switzerland in search for the best snow. Uniquely for this program we have 5 guided days from 6 skiing days. We will decide during the week which days will be guided - this means we can choose the program by the weather and snow conditions. We strike a balance between instruction & guiding - very flexible and agreed between the group and our lead guide.

Lead Guide/Instructor
Seb Cazorla - UAIGM High Mountain Guide & Full Diplome French Ski Instructor. Seb has been teaching skiing for 20 years and has been guiding for 9 years and is only 41 years young. He has an amazing ability to improve our skiing by just making tiny changes to body movements.

Off-Piste Introduction
You need to be skiing red runs in controled parallel turns and you are able to handle black runs.
More info

Off-Piste Intermediate
You will have previous experience of Off-Piste skiing and you can link turns on moderate terrain. You find it harder to link turns in steep slopes, or in icy / crusty conditions and would like to improve in these areas. More Info

Off-Piste Advanced
You’ve been skiing Off-Piste for many years and can ski fast with good control on moderate slopes. You are comfortable on steeper slopes and you would like to be challenged. You don’t mind hiking or touring to reach the best slopes. More info

Chamonix Steep Weekend break
This weekend is designed for excellent, expert level skiers to take a short break and test and develop their skills with steep skiing. Some of the routes will require good technical skills with crampons and ski touring equipment.

For the Steep Weekend we work with a 1:4 guide ratio allowing access to some of the famous steep routes around Chamonix. We deliberately chose a spring time weekend as this generally is a better time of year for steep descents. More info
